Peru: 05 Days – 04 Nights
The great Inca empire history it is alive in every one of Cusco’s stone walls and palaces, coexisting with the imposing architecture of the viceroyalty period. History to be enjoyed with every step, in every stone seems to lead to the discovery of Qorikancha, an ancient Inca temple, the ruins of which recount their own history; or the wonderful archaeological site such as Sacsayhuaman, with its imposing stone walls; or in the Sacred Valley of the Incas the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo stands above a picturesque village; or Moray Archaeological Complex, with its four series of circular agricultural terraces excavated deep in the ground; or the magical Machu Picchu Machu the architectural jewel, a place of rest for Inca royalty, as well as a political, religious and administrative center. Its complex function was a result of the need to establish at a single location everything required to accommodate the Inca sovereign, so that he could live and rule from the top of a mountain.
Lima-Cuzco-Machu Picchu
Day 01 / Cuzco / City:
Reception at the Airport and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon we will start the City Tour in Cuzco knowing the most important place like The Cathedral, Koricancha or Sun Temple, Sacsayhuaman and Qenqo, for finally return to Cuzco. Overnight.
Day 02 / Cuzco / Sacred Valley (B-L):
After breakfast we will start the excursion to the Sacred Valley on the way we will stop at a point known as El Mirador, from where we will be able to see the entrance of the Sacred Valley and receive a good insight of the Inca history. After touring around we will get back to the car and will drive to the modern town of Pisac, where there is a peculiar market that deserve to be visited. In the market you’ll have free time to walk around and do some shopping. We will continue our tour. We will drive along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo. Lunch included.
Once we get there we will visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca construction built during the Inca’s heydays. This is an extraordinary Inca place where besides the ruins you may also see an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha. Afterwards, we will return to Cuzco. Overnight.
Day 03 / Cuzco – Aguas Calientes – Cuzco / Citadel of Machu Picchu (B):
After breakfast we will be transfer to the Train Station, from where we will start the train trip to Aguas Calientes. Arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station, where our guide will be waiting to start the visit to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, to reach the ruins we will board a bus through a zigzag paved way for about 30 minutes, Machu Picchu was discover in 1911 and is one of the Wonders of the Modern World, we will enjoy the tour. After you will have free time to explore the citadel. In the afternoon we will start the return to Aguas Calientes for board the train to Cuzco. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 04 / Cuzco / Free Day (B):
Free Day for personal activities. Overnight.
Day 05 / Cuzco (B):
Buffet Breakfast.
